Roller Coaster Event for K-Hill Motorsports at Road America
K-Hill Motorsports', F2000 Championship Series title hopeful Cole Morgan had the proverbial roller coaster of a weekend when the series, made it’s annual stop to the 4.0 mile Road America circuit in Elkhart Lake, Wis., on August 6-8. Morgan was rewarded with, fourth and 10th place finishes when the dust settled on Rounds 11 & 12.
The weekend started out rugh when the K-Hill Motorsports trailer experienced mechanical failure on it's way to Wisconsin from it's home in Pennsylvania. Showing the close ties in the series, it's was St.Clair Motorsports to the rescue and between the two teams they managed to get both team's cars to Road America...very early Friday morning.
CHALK ANOTHER ONE UP IN THE WIN COLUMN FOR K-HILL MOTORSPORTS
Although we were the only Formula Mazda entry for the National on August 1st. Given the lack of competition the Concert Illusions Team Formula Mazda set our sights on the Formula Continentals and did finish in front of all but one of them in the race, in third place overall. More evidence of the great car set-up by K-Hill was the fact that our qualifying time on Saturday was only two tenths slower than the FM lap record for the track. Hats off to Kris Kaiser and his crew for making it all happen. Kudos also go out to new guy Mike Hummel who brought his Continental home second in class and fourth overall, a great drive in a new car to the K-Hill family.
